Two Wrongs Making It Right

Hey, forgot to tell you I got an iPod for christmas!!!!
It's soooo good to be able to listen to music in all these airports and trains, and even while I'm working.

I changed hotels, now I'm in Monaco (yes, just like Bond) and I'm using my room's high speed internet connection to blog this and also watching the 50" flat panel TV integrated into the wall over my desk. They don't have MTV tho...

Off to order me some room service!

The receptionist apparantly didn't have all the information so she tried to charge me around 350€ for room service when I left the Carlton this morning.
I have no problem with spending such amounts on room service but paying is a whole other thing.

Hello and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.

To follow up on Iris' Chicblog we ended up having a real Jetset New Years eve.

We ended up at one of France's best known actors' party (he was at least the most payed for 2003!), which apparently was filled with famous actors and Hip-Hop artists but being the nerds we are we didn't recognize anyone but him (and I knew the name of the DJ who was playing as he is one of the best Hip-Hop Dj's in France).

Since then I have been travelling more or less, only being at home on saturdays and sundays...

Now I'm at the Carlton in Cannes, which is a beautiful hotel (Palace actually).The hotel is right on the seaside and it's where all the stars stay when the movie festival is here (their new suites have Movie star names like Sean Connery, Uma Thurman and more).
You need to be some sorts of star to pay for a room like this, the rate of my room is 950€ a night (around 80,000 Icelandic kronur)!

I'm profiting from this while it lasts, ordering room service in the evening and in the morning, I even get the Icelandic newspaper Morgunbladid with my breakfast!

To get back to the real world we have found a house we want in the south and will be going to look at it on the 22nd.

We'll keep you posted but I'm gonna go eat and then I'm gonna take a walk outside, the weather in the south of France is great, I can't wait to be living here.
