Go shorty, It's my birthday. Go shorty, It's my birthday...

You guessed it. ITS MY BIRTHDAYYY! Not much of festivity since I had to go to Lille today for work, where I found myself in a three star hotel crammed up in a server closet (ah yes, no server room here). I daresay this is entirely unacceptable on my own birthday. Needless to say I skipped lunch and hurried up so I could take the train back 2 hours earlier than planned.

Got home to a good dinner and birthday cake, sweeet.

Tomorrow I'll even get a birthday party at my sister's, mom is here and will be cooking (for those who do not know, my mom really is the best cook in the world).

Guess that's it... I'm pretty tired now so I really like the idea of "postponing" my birthday 'till tomorrow.

Thanks for all the greetings I've gotten in the guestbook

P.S. for those who haven't noticed, all the pictures posted with Hello Bloggerbot show up as blogs entered by me.

Me and Daniel seem to have a strange kind of karma which attracts homeless or sick animals to us........ take a look at tonights houseguest, well actually not houseguest since he is afraid of the dog and the dog afraid of him and Daniel is also allergic but he´s been hanging around our garden today and been coming inside from time to time so it´s only polite to make up a bed for him.....don´t you think so?...... Posted by Hello

Hey guys,

A rainy day in Paris. Of course it rains when I have to take the train to work in my just-back-from-the-cleaners favorite black velvet suit (you know I'm a pimp).

Here's a question for smokers, do you really believe no one is bothered by your smoking?
I show up all nice and dressed up in my suit to this four star hotel in a country that has already passed laws prohibiting smoking outside designated areas in workplaces and what happens? You bet the people we are working with ask if we "mind" that they smoke.
Are you silly enough to think anyone who is there doing business with you is going to say: "Yes, smoking bothers me quite a lot, my eyes get irritated, I smell bad and I just got my suit drycleaned. Thank you for asking."? I'm not.

What keeps amazing me though is the fact that someone can actually believe the idea that it is their right to smoke where they want.

I see it as the equivalent of me carrying on me a can of hairspray (particularly bad smelling hairspray) and once or twice every hour I walk around the room spraying hairspray all over the place. If you sit close to me I will aim directly at your eyes. In the end of each day of work with me you will feel sick from the smell of yourself, your partner will mention the fact that you smell bad and that just works magic for you.

I will of course not notice the tears falling from your eyes or how red they have suddenly become. If I do you've probably just been drinking.

If you ever ask me to spray my hairspray outside I might say yes but I will get irritated and I'll probably not like you very much after that.
You are the person depriving me of my right to spray.

I like it when it's grey/rainy and I'm on the inside looking out. I don't like standing out there.

Whats your culture today Mr. Jonsson?

Auf der Maur
After one listening this cd sounds pretty good to me, this is the first solo album of a girl (Melissa Auf der Maur is her name) who played the bass in Hole for five years and the guitar in The Smashing Pumpkins for their last tour. You can check out her site and listen to a couple of her songs Here.

Abattoir blues / The Lyre of Orpheus
This is the latest album from Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds.
I am a fan. In fact we both are. Here's an example: Last week on my way home from work I took Let Love In out of my car's cd player to replace it with Tender Prey. On getting home from the store that night I took No More Shall We Part from the home stereo's cd player to replace it with the newly bought Abattoir blues / The Lyre of Orpheus cd.
This cd has not quite settled in yet but I still like it. There's something on there that's not quite grabbing me as much as their other cd's though.

Reading:

The Da Vinci Code
Brilliant book. Definitely the best book I've read in a long time. The descriptions in this book are so good that he makes the places and things he talks about very interesting. If you have not yet read this book then go get it. Now.
If you live in Paris just ask me and I'll give it to you. We're both done reading it.

BloggityBlogBlog time for some sleep and then the Marathon continues!

Is anyone reading this? Is any of this interesting any of you? Hello???
